A full timber and stone lodge in Pine Canyon, built at the scale the setting deserves and finished in heavy beams, log walls and Arizona stone.
The great room runs up into an open truss ceiling, with a floor to ceiling stone fireplace at one end and a wall of windows onto the forest at the other. The kitchen is built for a crowd: a professional range, a long island with seating, and a dining table that seats eight beside it. A second living room sits behind a sliding barn door, and a third gathering room opens onto the covered deck.
Outside, a covered deck with its own stone fireplace looks into the pines, and a second covered patio holds an outdoor dining table. Upstairs a loft landing opens to more bedrooms and a sitting area. Bedrooms are spread through the house rather than stacked down one hall, several with their own bathrooms, one with a stone fireplace of its own and doors onto the deck.

Pine Canyon is a private, guard gated community, and the clubhouse and golf amenities are for members only. There are no exceptions.

The setting
Pine Canyon
Pine Canyon sits behind a guarded entry a few minutes from Lake Mary Road, close enough to downtown Flagstaff for dinner and far enough into the trees that you hear nothing but wind in the pines. A golf course threads through the property, and the homes are set among the trees rather than lined along the fairways. The altitude is the point. Summer afternoons here settle in the seventies while Phoenix bakes two hours south, and the monsoon rolls through most August evenings. Autumn turns the aspens on the Peaks gold. Winter brings real snow, and a ski hill twenty minutes from the gate.
As a lessee you may access the FUTS trail, Trout Creek Park, The Yard and the dog park. The clubhouse and golf amenities are restricted to members only, no exceptions.
